The central budget of 3,045 million baht is the compensation figure for those damaged by the flood situation. However, there are no details yet on how much compensation per rai the government will give to the agricultural sector, especially rice fields. Data from the Office of Water Management and Hydrology, Royal Irrigation Department, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, indicates that from mid-July to the present (data as of September 17, 2024), Thailand has affected 43 provinces, and 16 provinces are still flooded. Another 27 provinces have returned to normal. The damage has affected farmers, field crop growers, fisheries, and livestock farmers, totaling more than 223,948 people.
